Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and developing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) following the well-architected framework standards.

This role is responsible for ensuring that our platform meets high-quality standards and maintains compliance with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industry regulations.

  • AWS Cloud Engineer responsibilities include proficiency in core AWS services such as ECS, AWS Batch, ImageBuilder, EFS, Cognito, Lambda, RDS, AppSync, and API Gateway
  • Networking knowledge including subnetting, security, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Containerization experience
  • Scripting languages like Bash and Powershell
  • AWS CLI and Boto3
  • General programming skills with languages such as Python

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting infrastructure required to enable new platform capabilities. They will also maintain the current infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient application performance, troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues, develop and configure scripts to install user-required software on virtual machines and Docker containers, collaborate with product managers, developers, and platform users to evaluate new technologies and co-create Proof of Concepts, develop and maintain CICD workflows to securely deploy both infrastructure and application-level assets, and help with Sysadmin tasks to troubleshoot issues on both Windows and Linux environments.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proficiency in core AWS services
  • Strong networking knowledge
  • Experience in scripting languages
  • General programming skills
  • Experience working with AWS CLI and Boto3
  • Familiarity with computer architecture principles
  • Familiarity with HPC environments and distributed computation
  • Sysadmin experience setting up unattended installations and configurations for Windows and Linux environments

The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, and strong communication skills.
