About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Network Security Engineer to join our team at emagine Sp. Z o.o. as part of our Business-to-Business (B2B) project.

Project Overview

  • Industry: Insurance
  • Location: Gdańsk (Warsaw is possible)
  • Remuneration: up to 170 PLN/H
  • Type of contract: B2B
  • Duration: long-term cooperation

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Operational Support aspects of the production network Security environment, which includes all aspects of corporate Firewalls, Proxies, Intrusion Protection & Detection, and DDOS capabilities.

Job Description

As a Network Security Engineer, you will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain global network security architecture and strategy in line with industry best practices.

You will ensure compliance with internal audit, IT Risk and Security, and regulatory requirements by developing and maintaining secure network environments, tools, and architectures.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and maintaining global network security design standards;
  2. Ensuring compliance with internal audit, IT Risk and Security, and regulatory requirements;
  3. Designing secure network environments, tools, and architectures;
  4. Vendor management for production hardware lifecycle;
  5. Availability tracking and technical elimination of project incidents/challenges;
  6. Working with Business and Data Center Transformation program teams for information gathering and scheduling;
  7. Adapting to shifting workloads and priorities based on transformation program requirements;
  8. Translating port and protocol traffic flows into documented security policies and risk assessments;

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role;
  • High-level knowledge of financial Management and Budget Control;
  • In-depth understanding of Network Security technologies (FW, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF, SASE/SSE...);
  • Broad range of understanding of ITIL, ITSM, and industry best practices;
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts rapidly and rate their potential against real business requirements;
  • Understanding of cloud providers and service offerings;
