Our requirements Senior ABAP developer with a strong technical background and hands-on experience leading the change management process Understands the technical and business context of SAP development and is proactive in collaborating with functional teams and key business stakeholders Open personality who enjoys working in a distributed and international environment across time zones Acts service- and solution-oriented, with a clear willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new SAP technologies (e.g., BTP, RAP) Works independently while maintaining strong alignment with team objectives and demonstrates a high level of accountability and commitment Strong communication and coordination skills to manage external developers and internal stakeholders Excellent command of spoken and written English (German is a plus) Minimum 5–10 years’ experience as an SAP ABAP Expert in ECC and S/4HANA landscapes Deep know-how in core SAP development: OO ABAP, enhancements (BADIs, user exits), Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and ALV reports Practical experience with S/4HANA technologies: CDS views, AMDPs, OData services, and RAP model for Fiori applications Solid experience developing backend logic for Fiori applications and enabling side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP Strong debugging and performance tuning skills, as well as experience with static code checks via ATC and SCI Good understanding of integration patterns and technologies in a hybrid SAP landscape, including IDocs, proxies, and Integration Suite (CPI) Experience in leading the ABAP code remediation for yearly SAP upgrades and ECC-to-S/4HANA custom code conversion Skilled in managing quality and deliverables from external development partners (specifications, code review, documentation) Job Mission The SAP Senior ABAP Expert acts as the primary technical authority for custom developments across the global SAP landscape. He/she supports and develops tailored solutions within ECC, S/4HANA, GTS on HANA, SAP CRM, and have exposure to Integration Suite. The role plays a key part in the transformation program towards S/4HANA and ensures the consistency and quality of custom code in line with modern SAP development standards. In addition, the expert collaborates on the design and enablement of SAP Fiori applications and extensions deployed in a hybrid architecture using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
