8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java and enterprise systems. Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to modernization projects (e.g., monolith-to-modular/microservices, migration to cloud, refactoring legacy systems). Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability. Experience with web technologies, APIs, and modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Angular/React, etc.). Solid knowledge of relational databases (Oracle experience is a strong plus). Familiarity with deployment environments (Tomcat, containers, CI/CD pipelines). Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving mindset and pragmatic approach to balancing technical and business priorities. Experience in biotech/medical/healthcare software is a plus (but not required). DevOps & Cloud: Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable. Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions. Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and effectively lead technical discussions. We are now embarking on a strategic transformation to modernize our systems, migrate parts of a large monolithic application, and evolve towards a more scalable, maintainable architecture.
