We are at Coforge hiring for Lead Data Governance Engineer with Python.

Job Description:

  • Looking for someone who knows how to enrich metadata, extract metadata from different groups ,
  • build Data catalog, create business glossaries , define Tag etc.
  • Also, hands-on experience in writing Python scripts and migration to cloud. Exposure to the GCP platform will be a huge plus.
  • and GCP tech stack ( BigQuery, dataproc etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Python.
  • Need hands on person who has implemented Data Catalog, Created Data Lineage,
  • Define metadata requirements and lead the creation of a centralized data dictionary.
  • Align business and IT teams to populate and maintain key fields for high-priority domains (Customer, Account, Product, Financial).
  • Establish and document naming conventions, data classifications, update frequency guidelines, and stewardship responsibilities.
  • Engage data owners, business SMEs, and IT architects to capture, refine, and validate metadata and domain-specific definitions.
  • Support the federated data model blueprint by ensuring consistent and governed data definitions that can scale across distributed systems.
