Data Governance Technical

YOUR PROFILE

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience focused on implementing, configuring, and architecting data governance, data management, or related data solutions.
• Proven experience in the technical implementation of at least one major enterprise data governance and data catalog tool (e.g., Collibra, Informatica CDGC, etc.), including configuration, customization, and integration.
• Strong technical architecture skills, particularly related to integrating governance into cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures (Data Mesh, Lakehouse).
• Experience developing technical solutions for data lineage, metadata management, data quality implementation, or access control enforcement.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL) used for data manipulation, automation, or API interaction with data governance tools.
• Ability to translate strategic data governance requirements and policies into detailed technical designs and implementation steps.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts and architectures to technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Consulting experience is highly desirable.
• Business fluency in English. Proficiency in German or other relevant languages may be highly desirable depending on primary location/client base.
• Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.

YOUR ROLE

As a Data Governance Technical Expert / Architect / Senior Consultant with 5+ years of experience, you will be the go-to expert for designing and implementing the technical infrastructure of data governance solutions. You will specialize in architecting how governance integrates with complex data platforms, selecting and configuring enterprise data governance tools (like Collibra), and developing technical solutions to enforce policies around data cataloging, lineage, quality, and security. This hands-on role requires deep technical skills, experience with cloud data services, and the ability to translate governance requirements into robust, scalable technical architectures and implementations.
