This role is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of RPG who can act as a subject matter expert—either on a part-time or full-time basis—supporting architecture decisions, troubleshooting logic conversion, and accelerating the rewrite process.

Must-Have:

  • Proven experience in RPG IV / ILE / Free Format development and maintenance.
  • Strong ability to analyze and explain RPG logic clearly to teams unfamiliar with the language.
  • Solid understanding of legacy IBM i (AS/400) environments and their toolchains.
  • Prior experience in modernization or migration projects, especially involving RPG-to-Java transitions.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Java and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database schemas.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
  • Knowledge of GitHub or similar source control/collaboration tools.
  • Understanding of IBM’s CloudFirst modernization strategy or related tools.

  • Remuneration based on a B2B contract (via Devire)
  • Rate: up to 180 PLN/h net + VAT
  • Work: 100% remote
