What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Solid technical knowledge. You must have proven knowledge of programming languages (Python and Go preferably), SQL and NoSQL databases and cloud technologies on AWS and GCP platforms.
  • An automation mindset. You should have the ability to automate processes using programming languages and scripting tools
  • Innovative thinking. Exposure and appreciation of concepts like 'Anything as code' and 'Anything as service'
  • Exposure to enterprise-level application development. Fair understanding of enterprise architecture, preferably in the finance sector. Appreciation of security, scalability, reliability, resiliency requirements for an enterprise application.
  • Senior stakeholder management skills. Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders including up to 2 levels up in the organization.

Your career opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team on the HSBC Cloud Data Staging Service project, a pivotal initiative that consolidates operational data from four major cloud service providers: AWS, GCP, Azure, and Ali Cloud. This role involves managing the central staging environment where all cloud operational data, including configuration, assets, and third-party software, is captured and stored. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy across our cloud operations. Expertise in OS reporting, vulnerability remediation, and cloud infrastructure management is essential for this position. If you have a strong background in development of APIs in Python or Go, data management, and cloud services, we invite you to apply and contribute to our project.
