Position Overview

The Senior Manager - EMEA Procurement Shared Center (PSCL) leads a regional team of Procurement Managers responsible for tactical sourcing execution across multiple countries.

This role ensures alignment between category strategies and local market execution, actively driving and managing direct cooperation between Category Leads and local Procurement Managers to ensure seamless translation of strategic objectives into operational results.

The role drives operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement through effective project management, team leadership, and facilitation of cross-functional collaboration.

As a central coordination point, the PSCL ensures smooth information flow, consistent execution standards, and best-practice sharing across all markets within the Shared Center's scope.

What will you be doing as Senior Manager - EMEA Procurement Shared Center?

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Procurement Shared Center team (10 direct reports), ensuring high performance, engagement, and accountability
  • Allocate resources based on sourcing plans, priorities, and business requirements
  • Supervise delivery of sourcing projects to ensure timeliness, quality, and savings targets are met
  • Drive standardization of procurement processes and governance across countries
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement

2. Cooperation with Area Category Leads

  • Act as the primary link between Category Leads and Country-Level Procurement Managers
  • Facilitate direct cooperation and communication between local Procurement team and Category Leads to ensure effective translation of category strategies into operational sourcing plans
  • Provide local market insights and supplier intelligence to Category Leads to support strategy refinement
  • Support Category Leads in implementing sourcing initiatives, deep-dives, and supplier performance reviews
  • Ensure full visibility of local sourcing pipelines, progress, and risks towards category management

3. Operational Excellence and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to global procurement policies, ethical standards, and contract management principles
  • Maintain audit readiness through accurate documentation of supplier records, contracts, and sourcing events (RFx) in DNST
  • Track and report team performance metrics, savings, and SLA compliance
  • Define and govern Procurement Management SOPs and ensure alignment across all regions covered

4. Project Leadership and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify efficiency opportunities, standardize tools and templates, and drive automation where applicable
  • Participate on regional process improvement initiatives (LEAN, Kaizen, deep-dive analyses)
  • Oversee implementation of improvement projects and measure impact
  • Ensure consistent project governance and structured execution across the Shared Center

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong working relationships with Category Leads, regional and area business units, and functional leaders
  • Act as senior escalation point for category execution, contract disputes, or compliance matters
  • Represent the Shared Center in cross-functional initiatives and regional reviews
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across markets and functions

What experience / skills do you need?

  • Strong organization and project management skills to keep multiple high priority projects moving to completion
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading international team
  • Proven experience in Coaching, Facilitating Change and Delegation and Empowerment
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • General understanding of European legislation (Green Deal, Health and Safety and Data protection)
  • Experience working in a global environment; conducting business across multiple requirements, time zones and culture
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Master's degree – Finance or Management
  • Business English (Written and spoken)
  • Additional languages as German/French/Spanish are an advantage
