Data Architect and Analytics Lead

We are seeking a Data Architect and Analytics Lead to join our Global Applications team. This role reports to the Group Applications Director and works closely with IT and business stakeholders, enterprise architects, application owners, and external technology partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the organization's data architecture strategy, governance framework, and analytics roadmap. You will design and implement BI and Data Analytics solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights and business value.

We are looking for a professional with a strong technical background in modern cloud-based data technologies, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem, combined with excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the design and implementation of data and analytics solutions in a dynamic, international environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping enterprise data management practices, driving digital transformation, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.

Data Architecture and Governance

• Develop and execute enterprise data architecture strategies that enhance data quality, integration, and accessibility.
• Establish and manage data governance frameworks, standards, and processes to ensure data consistency and compliance.
• Design and maintain data platforms, including databases, warehouses, and data lakes, simplifying existing architectures to optimize performance and cost.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen data management, analytics capabilities, and long-term platform scalability.
• Participate in architectural reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy and standards.

• Translate business requirements into effective data models, data flows, and analytics solutions.
• Design and deliver end-to-end BI and Analytics solutions, including data integration (ETL/ELT), transformation, visualization, and reporting.
• Lead project execution from design to deployment, including migration, testing, documentation, and user training.
• Manage internal and external technical experts to deliver high-quality data and analytics projects on time.
• Provide operational support and continuously improve existing data solutions and analytics applications.

• Build strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to align initiatives with strategic goals.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote data-driven decision-making and foster a culture of knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, processes, and governance policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, Analytics Lead, or similar data-focused role in an enterprise environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Fluency in English. Additional languages such as Czech or French are an advantage.

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar credential.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or Power BI.
