This Software Engineer position is with the Microsoft Teams Calling and Meetings team, which focuses on innovative features in the collaboration & productivity space and an opportunity to collaborate with partner teams on technologies across the company and beyond.   • Work closely with international teams across various disciplines (Engineering, Design, Product, Support) to develop new features.
  • Engineering excellence and commitment to writing code that's not only functional but also well-designed, testable, and maintainable. Utilize best practices to build robust solutions.
  • Show initiative to learn and do whatever it takes to implement features fully, whether it involves diving into native code or learning new technologies.
  • Analyze feature performance in production to continuously improve the product.
  • You'll excel at partnering with teams both locally and globally within Microsoft.
  • Engage in mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster the professional growth of the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and GraphQL or similar technologies, with hands-on development experience.
  • Skilled in using analytics, instrumentation, and A/B testing to inform feature development and improve application performance.
  • Designed and delivered applications that are performant, reliable, accessible, and secure, with a strong focus on quality and user experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
