Role Overview

You will be building a data powered and people centered personalized healthcare product where a True Health Engine consumes healthcare data, detects important health events, generates unique member insights and recommends vital health actions to the members. 

As our software engineer you will be responsible for developing services and applications for the Recommendation Data Platform. You will design, develop and maintain event-driven Java microservices using the Spring Boot framework and Docker, deploy to AWS using the "infrastructure as a code" paradigm and evolve a unique clinical health care rule system implemented using Python and Spark, running on the Databricks AI/ML platform.

A day in the life 

·       Working with Product Management and Development Lead to define the scope and requirements 

·       Work with the Development Lead to effectively Design, Architect, and plan the delivery of the proposed scope 

·       Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time with high quality for the team and as an individual. 

·       Effectively communicate the status, manage expectations for the stakeholders, and demonstrate creative, technical, and analytical skills. 

·       Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in the areas of technical ownership 

·       Ad-hoc tasks based on business needs 

What we are looking for 

·       2-3 years of hands-on experience in developing scalable services using Java and Spring Boot 

·       Experience with building web services, REST APIs, and general backend infrastructure on AWS or another cloud provider 

·       Distributed database technologies such as RDS, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, etc. 

·       Previous experience with Machine Learning tooling (PySpark, Databricks) a definite plus. 

·       Strong written and oral communication skills. 

·       Desire and willingness to work in an Agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment 

·       A strong foundation in modern DevOps culture with continuous delivery
