Job Description

We're looking for a versatile Backend Engineer to join our brand-new Omio4Business team. This is a unique, greenfield opportunity to shape and launch an exciting new product initiative from the ground up. If you thrive in a start-up mindset, enjoy experimenting with the latest AI coding technologies (Codex, Claude Code, and beyond), and want to ship impactful solutions fast, this role is for you.

About Omio4Business

Omio4Business is building a tailored version of Omio's web and mobile components for business travel search and booking. As part of our Partnerships Tribe, you'll work on products that power global partners such as Uber and Google—delivering world-class search, booking APIs, and travel discovery experiences beyond our B2C product.

We abstract away the complexity of fragmented travel APIs across trains, buses, ferries (and more), transforming them into scalable, reliable, and structured systems that our clients and partners can trust.

What you'll do

• Experiment with AI-first development (Codex, Claude Code, and the latest tools) to rapidly prototype and ship services and REST APIs for the Omio4Business launch.
• Design, build, and scale systems that connect to diverse services and data sources inside and outside of Omio.
• Iterate quickly: test ideas, learn from results, and refine features to deliver exceptional product experiences.
• Own reliability and performance of critical systems in production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally, working closely with product, design, and partner teams to tackle complex challenges.
• Mentor and support teammates, helping grow engineering excellence within the team.

Our Tech Stack:

• Languages: Go, Java,

• APIs & Messaging: REST APIs, Message Queues

Qualifications

Experience in either Java/Node or Go, or willingness to learn, designing and building scalable high-performing applications

• Experience in software design and Continuous Delivery, strong foundation in RestAPIs
• Experience in cloud infrastructure and container technology
• Passion for software craftsmanship and agile development methodologies
• Team-player mindset with passion for mentoring and growing colleagues
• An open mind and eagerness to learn new things
