Summary:
We are seeking two Administrative Assistants to provide full-time support to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Carlsbad Field Office. This position is part of the Business Support Services (BSS) Pool 4 – Administrative/Financial contract supporting oil, gas, and minerals programs.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:
Perform a variety of office and administrative support functions for multiple supervisors.
Answer and direct phone calls; greet and direct visitors.
Draft, edit, and finalize correspondence for managers and supervisors.
Maintain central filing systems (official records, directives, manuals, litigation records).
Process daily incoming and outgoing mail (including electronic correspondence).
Create and manage spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
Provide administrative support for FOIA responses, project files, and program staff.
Other office support duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in data entry, records management, or administrative support.
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.
- Required to pass a government background investigation successfully.
