We are looking for an Azure Cloud Architect - Developer to join our Cloud Platform team in Prague, Czechia. You will be responsible for taking the right technical decisions for our Cloud Platform and implement those as part of a team.

About the Role

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Own and evolve the architecture of the existing Azure-based cloud platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, cost efficiency.
• Lead solution design for new features, integrations and platform enhancements in collaboration with the product and engineering teams.
• Contribute Hands-on to Backend development, including APIs, microservices and integrations.
• Collaborate cross functionally with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications and personal skills

We are looking for a new colleague who will join us on our quest in solving the world's water problems and have the following qualifications:

Required:

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Architect/ Lead Developer in a cloud team.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within software development.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
• Proven experience in .NET technology and C# development.
• Understanding of Kubernetes services.
• Solid understanding of data structures, including optimized storage, querying and postprocessing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Desirable:

Familiarity with:

• Time series processing
• More Cloud Providers (GCP, AWS, etc.)
• Spatial data
• GIS systems (ESRI products, QGIS, or similar)
• Python

Office location

You will be based in our office in Prague, the Czech Republic. We are working on a hybrid manner, which will allow you to work from home a few times per week.
