What role will you play?

As a Non-Functional Testing (NFT) Engineer, you will be responsible for making sure that our technology delivers the best experience for our customers in Europe, Africa and the United States. You will take ownership of planning, executing, and documenting comprehensive NFT strategies. Collaborating closely with the development teams, you will evangelize best practices and contribute to automation frameworks, performance tests, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous quality improvements to ensure seamless, high-quality releases.

What is the plot?

Global Commerce are responsible for the Identity and Sales and Service platform within Global Streaming Technology, facilitating seamless customer experiences across multiple platforms, notably: Peacock, SkyShowtime, Showmax, NOW & WOW. You will join the Prague based Identity team—focusing on sign up, sign in, and related user journeys.

Your daily tasks:

• Design and execute NFT (Non-Functional Testing) strategies, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security testing.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation test frameworks using Python (sky-uk/mite) and Java (Gatling). Support software engineers using those frameworks.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated test suites.

• Proactively identify areas for improvement in the testing process and suggests and implements enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks.

• Create clear, concise, and informative test reports, including test coverage, identified defects, and overall project progress. Provide impact assessments for any changes to stakeholders.

• Effectively identify, log, reproduce, analyse, and prioritize defects using a Defect Management tool (e.g. Jira).

• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure high-quality releases through continuous testing.

• Facilitate defect triage meetings, ensuring efficient communication and problem-solving.

What skills do you need to play your role well?

• Experience in software testing, with focus on performance, particularly in complex enterprise systems.

• Experience with test frameworks such as Gatling, Apache jMeter, k6.

• Experience with Python (or willingness to learn it) and/or Java.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation tests (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).

• Experience with automatic scaling of compute resources within k8s environment (nice to have).

• Experience building positive working relationships with internal and external partners with proactive mindset and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

• Fluency in English.
