Join our Predictive Planning & Forecasting CoE and help shape the future of Finance. Our mission is to transform forecasting and planning processes by embedding Machine Learning and AI at their core.

We are looking for a curious and driven Data Scientist with solid programming skills (preferably Python) and a passion for turning complex Finance challenges into data-driven solutions.

What you´ll do

• Design, build, and deploy ML models to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop business ready data driven forecasts by connecting ML outputs with pre- & post-data processing
• Collaborate closely with Finance experts to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and actionable insights.
• Support the development of end-to-end analytics products, from data preparation to visualization in dashboards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of predictive planning methodologies and automation initiatives.

What you bring

• A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Informatics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, ideally with exposure to forecasting or predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with relevant libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Understanding of distributed computing (i.e. Spark/PySpark) and related platforms (i.e. Databricks)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
• Curiosity and interest in Finance processes, with motivation to challenge and improve traditional planning approaches.
• Experiences working on the SAP internal ML platform (ML workbench) & Data Warehouse (SAP HANA, C4S, BDC) is a plus
