IT generalist responsible for producing broad scope designs spanning multiple technical domains. These enable the continued evolution and expansion of the Global Payments IT infrastructure to support new clients and new services in line with Global Payments IT technical standards and corporate strategic direction, feeding into and driving that strategic direction at consultant levels. Captures, interprets and understand business requirements and produces costed IT infrastructure solutions to meet these requirements. Provides authoritative technical consultancy across a range of technical areas, facilitating the delivery of solution designs involving teams from different technical and business disciplines. Responsible for maintaining assigned aspects of the Technical Service Catalogue and Technical Build Standards. Involved throughout the project delivery life cycle including, where necessary, delivery of detailed designs, monitoring designs and development of supporting software (scripts, automated business processes, etc.) to affect the integration into the Global Payments operational environment.

• Provide infrastructure solution input into a range of IT projects, including major new client and new platform implementations.
• Works independently to capture and document non-functional requirements, carrying out IT infrastructure impact analysis and producing high-level Infrastructure Solution Designs for Global Payments architectural approval and business case input.
• Produces advanced and detailed documentation to include (but not be limited to): High level solutions designs, client-specific solution designs, data flow diagrams, high-level network designs, high-level systems designs, operational model designs, security designs, firewall rule requests, network and server/Operating System selection, configuration recommendations, Access Management configurations, middleware designs, application development recommendations and tools recommendations.
• Assess all inbound work requests, including specialist or complex requests. Provides initial triage information and high-level resource estimates.
• Participates in the review of designs and other documentation created by others. Acts as technical SME when own technical skills match
• Leverages excellent working relationships with technical specialist teams and application development leads to ensure appropriate input from these areas during the design phase of assigned projects.
• Provides authoritative consultancy to both internal and external clients on a range of infrastructure, connectivity and operational subjects, and pre-sales support for Global Payments Business teams, including representing Global Payments at critical client meetings.
• Provides Infrastructure consultancy to the business analysis teams during Discovery process for new clients and produce internal and client-facing Infrastructure Solution Designs as part of the overall Discovery documentation
• Liaises with various operational areas within Global Payments, and also with Global Payments clients, to agree operational models and high-level procedures for new platforms and services.
• Working independently, carries out detailed implementation & integration activities for new solutions, e.g. automation of application installation & operation
• Working independently, maintains and ensures regular review of assigned Technical Service Catalogue items.
• Working independently, define low-level technical standards associated for assigned area
• Produces robust business cases to support investment in new technology or infrastructure refresh projects

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant Experience or Degree in: BCS Solution Development & Architecture (intermediate level or equivalent); Relevant technology experience advanced level)
• Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp

• Systems Integration - Automates, integrates and tests basic components and/or subsystems and their interfaces in order to create operational services.
