Essential functions:

• Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of Power BI dashboards and reports to meet organizational needs.

• Design and manage complex data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Implement and maintain best practices in data governance, accuracy, and security.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior report developers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to reporting and data modeling.

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, tools, and strategies.

Interactions:

• Regularly collaborate with business units, IT teams, and key stakeholders to define and refine reporting needs.

• Partner with data engineers and database administrators to ensure seamless integration and optimized data pipelines.

• Engage with leadership to present reporting capabilities and align deliverables with business goals.

The individual:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.

• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.

• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and ETL processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including custom visuals and embedding solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and design principles.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
