Senior Global Warehouse Excellence Manager, Global Operations

As part of our strategy to build supply chain resilience and merge business units, we are looking for a bright mind with extensive warehouse management skills to define and implement a highly effective warehouse operation across our GN sites worldwide.  

The team you will be part of  

As our new Senior Global Warehouse Excellence Manager, you will be working out of one of our main locations in either Prague, Czech Republic or Johor Bahru, Malaysia (or Singapore) and report to Head of Strategy and Excellence within Regional Operations. Extensive travel must be expected, especially within the first two years in the role.  

Global Warehouse excellence will be a new functional area within GN Operations, that will be added as we proceed with our goal to build in-house warehouse capabilities and continue our journey towards enhanced supply chain resilience and operational efficiency. 

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will  

• Build and own the global warehouse excellence function, including shaping the global processes, tools and methods while ensuring local anchoring  
• Be part of the global footprint expansion projects to ensure operational readiness at the warehouse facilities at go-live in the different sites across the globe 
• Ensure cost-competitiveness through optimizing our logistics and realizing synergies across markets and product divisions 
• Set the global standard for how to work with quality, health and safety and ensure local understanding and anchoring of chosen methods  
• Own the global approach for onboarding and training of new warehouse staff 
• Anchor the global approach to visual management and performance measuring of the warehouse efficiency 
• Have travel days annually

You also have a relevant toolbox and personal clout to bring strategy from idea to implementation. In addition to advanced warehouse operational and strategic skills, you probably hold a master's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or you have another relevant academic degree. Several years of experience in warehouse management in both operational and strategic roles. 

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you

• Extensive experience in implementing projects that enhance operational efficiency  
• Are familiar with the Lean/Kaizen approach 
• Comprehensive end-to-end supply chain understanding
• Understands local and global leverage  
• Are performance oriented with a keen commercial focus  
• Have a sound financial understanding  
• Experience within high-volume consumer goods or medical device
