Global Head Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture

Major accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Sandoz Technology Transformation Strategy and Vision (medium and long-term).
  • Act as strategic assistant to CTTO -prepping for EC level meetings.
  • Lead the strategy capability in Technology Transformation, working with TT LT to co-ordinate the execution of the capability across all TT functions and to contribute to the development of the capability in TT.
  • Define and execute strategic initiatives in collaboration with other functions in TT and Sandoz to achieve business strategic agenda.
  • Lead the external positioning of Technology Transformation in Sandoz and externally and benchmark IT performance against peers and across industry.
  • Lead and deliver select innovation and/or strategic change projects across TT.
  • Develop an environment which fosters a high-performance and innovative organization.
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within role scope.
  • Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key issues and decisions.

Ideal Background

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Technology Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable

Languages

  • Fluent English required (oral and written)

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a technology leadership role within a large, multinational corporation, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial capacity with strong leadership and communication skills to influence decisions and lead change across organizational boundaries.
  • Proven track record of success in leading large-scale Enterprise Application projects within complex environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise applications, cloud solutions, and emerging technologies.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex technology projects from conception through implementation, including managing budgets, resources, and timelines.
  • Strong background in vendor management, including negotiating contracts and managing service level agreements (SLAs) with technology providers.
  • Experience in regulatory and compliance environments, understanding the implications for technology solutions and data management in global markets.
