We work with a brand-new, Prague-based crypto exchange on a fast track to full MiCA and DORA compliance. They're building a secure, user-friendly platform for seamless fiat crypto trading completely from scratch and with zero legacy baggage.

Location: Prague, Czech Republic | First months onsite then hybrid

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Back-End Developer with strong TypeScript and experience to help our client build the core infrastructure behind their new crypto exchange. You'll be part of a small, focused team in Prague, building secure, scalable APIs and services from the ground up with real impact.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using and TypeScript
  • Work closely with front-end and product teams to define data models and ensure smooth integration
  • Implement secure, well-documented RESTful APIs for crypto-related operations
  • Optimize back-end performance, stability, and scalability
  • Manage data with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage solutions
  • Follow best practices in security, including encryption, authentication, and secure API design
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues in production environments
  • Keep up with backend and blockchain-related developments that can improve the platform

What You Bring to the Table

  • Strong experience with TypeScript and
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and back-end architecture
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or other relational and in-memory databases
  • Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and scalable server-side patterns
  • A strong focus on security best practices in fintech or other sensitive environments
  • Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS or similar)
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work autonomously in a startup setup
  • Based in the Czech Republic and available for in-office work during the initial phase
  • Fluency in English (mandatory), Czech (optional)
  • Bonus: Prior experience in crypto or financial services
  • Ability to start asap
