Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and digitally skilled Indirect Tax Analyst to join our team in Prague. This role focuses on enhancing indirect tax processes through the use of automation, data analytics, and digital tools. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a passion for digital innovation, and a commitment to improving the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of indirect tax reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Indirect Tax & Process Optimization

  • Conduct internal reviews to identify inefficiencies and gaps in indirect tax processes, with a strong emphasis on automation and digital transformation.
  • Perform reconciliations across sales, transport, and customs documentation to ensure the accuracy of VAT data and readiness of supporting documentation for indirect tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support digital reporting reconciliations and data validation, reinforcing indirect tax compliance standards.
Data-Driven Indirect Tax Risk Management
  • Identify risks and opportunities within indirect tax processes by applying advanced data analysis techniques beyond traditional compliance scopes.
  • Collaborate with business partners to improve the quality of master data to support accurate VAT calculations and indirect tax reporting.
  • Analyze VAT rate applications (e.g., reduced vs. standard) and detect inconsistencies in tax coding to strengthen indirect tax compliance.
Documentation & Digital Validation for Indirect Tax
  • Leverage existing data warehouses and digital platforms to reconcile with VAT data, ensuring that all supporting documentation aligns with indirect tax declarations.
  • Design and implement automated workflows to streamline indirect tax processes and reduce manual errors.
Reporting & Visualization of Indirect Tax Metrics
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to visualize indirect tax metrics, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making in the indirect tax domain.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax, finance, IT, or related fields, with a focus on indirect tax compliance.
  • Strong understanding of EMEA indirect tax regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in automating and optimizing indirect tax-related workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills or equivalent (e.g., Alteryx), with the ability to work across various digital systems and tools. Knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana is an advantage.
  • Data-savvy, with proven experience using digital platforms to enhance indirect tax process, standardization, and communication.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Proactive in adopting and utilizing new digital solutions for indirect tax compliance and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
