The role of Optics Engineer is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín.

Responsibilities:

• Develop optical concepts for innovative vehicle lighting systems considering feasibility, cost, and lifetime.
• Design 3D CAD models in compliance with company, customer, and legal standards, supported by CAE simulations.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers and suppliers; negotiate proposed solutions.
• Coordinate with electronics, thermal, mechanical, and software teams to ensure system integration.
• Collaborate with other departments such as series development, manufacturing, and purchasing.
• Represent the company at technical conferences, contributing with presentations, articles, or publications.
• Communicate innovation topics with customers, suppliers, and industry experts.
• Ensure intellectual property compliance and support protection of new product designs.
• Provide technical support for new business development initiatives.

Requirements:

• University degree in Optical Engineering or Physics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in optical design of lighting functions.
• Proficiency in Catia and MS Office; basic programming knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong English skills (spoken and written, B2 or higher).
• Proven experience in project leadership.
• Independent, hands-on, and solution-oriented working style with strong team spirit.
• Creative mindset with ability to think outside the box.
• Willingness to travel abroad when required
