The role of Lead Projector Engineer is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading projector project teams and ensuring robust, reliable optical, mechanical and electronic solutions
  • Following development processes and managing assigned small project team
  • Managing BOMs, risks, and technical documentation
  • Cooperating with OEMs, suppliers, and internal teams from concept to SOP
  • Ensuring compliance with DFMEA, CAE, DV plans, and certification standards
  • Leading night drives, homologation, PPAP deliverables
  • Supporting innovation, cost optimization, and new business development
  • Ensuring IP protection and sharing project lessons learned

Requirements:

  • University degree in Optics/Physics or Mechanical Engineering or at least 3 years' experience with development in automotive industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in leading technical projects and customer communication
  • Previous experience in projector/headlamp design and plastic injection is a big plus
  • Advanced English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong planning, decision-making, and presentation skills
  • Leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Customer and result orientation, stress management, and self-reliance
