C# Developer

We are expanding our engineering team to strengthen the backend services that underpin Alteryx Cloud. As a Mid-Level C# Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining microservices and APIs that enable secure, scalable, and reliable data analytics experiences.

You'll work closely with senior engineers and platform teams to deliver cloud-native solutions, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure our services are built for performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance. This role offers a balance of hands-on development and collaborative problem-solving, in an environment that values craftsmanship and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET technologies.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices that power Alteryx Cloud features.

• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to ensure efficient, secure, and automated deployments.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.

• Work closely with product managers and QA to ensure features are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.

• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and overall engineering workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Solid programming experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem.

• Hands-on experience developing backend services or microservices in a production environment.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Understanding of RESTful API design and service integration patterns.

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent).

• Exposure to cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with message queues or event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.

• Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth, OpenID Connect).

• Interest in learning about distributed systems, scalability, and cloud security.
