Description

We are seeking a motivated Business Manager to join our team in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive operational excellence.

Your tasks:

  • Prepare monthly financial and business reports for individual business units, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Present monthly business reports (MBR), analyzing variances against budget and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly KPIs and operational performance measures to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Global Shared Service Centre, and Accounting to ensure seamless reporting processes.
  •  Review monthly performance with Business Unit Managers, challenge results, and drive corrective actions for optimal performance.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support year-end statutory reporting and contribute to ad-hoc projects as required.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an operationally focused finance/controlling role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power Query is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in Czech and English, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to see the "big picture" while managing details.
  • Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn and develop on the job.
  • Experience with Oracle, IFRS/local GAAP, or logistics/freight forwarding is considered a definite asset.
