We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Europe Controller to lead and manage our financial operations across multiple European geographies. This role will be based in Slovakia and have responsibility for overseeing financial reporting, cash flow, taxation, and regulatory compliance across Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Riga, United Kingdom and Germany.

Wage (gross): from 5.000 EUR/month plus VPP
Final salary will be subject to mutual agreement based on candidate's experience and seniority. Other benefits will be discussed during a personal meeting

Requirements and responsibilities What you'll do: 1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee and manage timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting under US GAAP and relevant local GAAPs
  • Lead and manage external audits and coordinate statutory filings
  • Liaise with the global finance team to ensure consistency in financial data, policies, and reporting structures
2. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting for each European entity
  • Oversee daily treasury operations, including payment approvals, and intercompany settlements
  • Optimize working capital management across the region
  • Manage banking relationships and local treasury compliance
3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with corporate income tax, VAT, and other local taxes
  • Manage tax filings, payments, and relationships with local tax authorities
  • Maintain and update transfer pricing documentation across jurisdictions
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local financial and regulatory requirements
4. Controllership & Internal Controls
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls across all financial processes
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of accounting practices across the region
  • Implement finance SOPs and support audit readiness (internal and external)
  • Support ERP systems implementation and enhancements to improve automation and financial accuracy
5. Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor finance professionals across the European region
  • Collaborate with global finance, operations, HR, legal, and tax teams to ensure alignment
Key skillsets:
  • Master's degree in accounting and finance
  • OR ACCA or equivalent international accounting qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in finance or controllership roles
  • Strong command of SAP systems (SAP ECC/S4 HANA)
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • English fluency required and Slovakian language native speaking.
