The project and the role description:

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with a focus on AI to join aproject for our German biopharmaceutical client recognized for its groundbreaking work in oncology. Within this global program, your mission will be to make AI accessible throughout the company—empowering thousands of colleagues to explore, test, and implement AI models, smart agents, and automation solutions at scale.

This is not a conventional DevOps or system administration position. We are looking for a hands-on, proactive professional with strong communication skills—someone who develops practical tools and automation, integrates AI into their everyday tasks, and enjoys working in a collaborative, international setting.

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

  • Based in Czechia or Slovakia
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps 
  • Proven software development experience (Python, TypeScript, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience automating real-world processes or building internal tools.
  • Solid cloud infrastructure expertise with AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Experience with Terraform or CDK for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Active daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, agent builders, etc.) for development, documentation, research, or automation.
  • A strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work autonomously across teams.
Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:
  • Exposure to foundational model hosting (HuggingFace, vLLM, Triton). 
  • Kubernetes certification (CKA) and experience with EKS and Helm.
  • Understanding of RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases (Weaviate, Qdrant).
  • Familiarity with AI automation libraries (LangChain, Haystack or similar).
  • Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
