GS Production Planner

Overview of Role:What you will do:
  • To provide a production plan to assure customer expectations are met and business goals attained.
  • Coordinate the proper material flow to production to avoid production interruptions.
  • Review and follow up with cross-functional teams the actions need it ensure plan attainment.
  • Effectively communication with the external stakeholders on customer orders status.
  • Responsible to meet the KPI for planning such OTS & TAT metrics.
  • Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company to ensure transparency on production scheduling.
  • Provide clear commitment dates to customers when required.
  • Escalate any challenge to commit customer expectations and provide recommendations.
  • Follow up in daily basis the backlog vs capacity installed to firm the optimal production plan.
  • Responsible to identify and provide status for any past due orders.
  • Ensure the properly setup of paperless parameters to avoid any order flow interruptions to machines.
  • Validate backlog vs capacity installed and communicate in advance any challenge to meet customer need dates.
  • Elaborate production plan taking in consideration any variable needs it to avoid efficiency impact as possible.
  • Manage special customer requirement such prioritize pre-orders for customer approval.
  • Follow up to critical orders and prioritize requested by stakeholder.
  • Ensure to have enough workload of each process/machine to have a continues production.
  • Follow up material shortages to fulfill customer orders.
  • Coordinate GS expeditors to properly follow up critical orders to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide any information required to present in weekly meetings with stakeholder.
Experience & Skills:
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years Planning areas experience.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Excel required.
  • Previous manufacturing industry experience with strong working knowledge of ERP required.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and team building skills required.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and solve complex problems required.
  • Moderate to expert skills in lean manufacturing/manufacturing techniques helpful.
