Let's Talk about the Role

As our Health and Safety Specialist, your primary responsibility is to make sure all our associates are safe, and VF complies with all local and VF corporate regulations.

You will work closely with the senior management and leadership team, taking responsibility for all Health & Safety matters on site, with the support of your wider team across the EMEA region as well as on-site in Prague

How You Will Make a Difference

Your role is so important to the effective operation of our warehouse and the safety of all VF Associates. Your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:

• Leading the warehouse operations in all Health & Safety matters and activities on a daily basis

• Ensuring our operations and non-operational teams are engaged and contributing to the site Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environmental objectives

• Contributing to site Reward and Recognition through actively promoting and rewarding compliance and excellence in Health & Safety throughout the warehouse and offices

• Creating new and maintaining current Risk Assessments so that the operations are always leading the way and aiming for excellence

• Monitoring and maintaining required safety checks in line with maintenance and safety calendar

• Recording and maintaining the documentation of accidents and incidents through the site's recording methods

• Ensure the required number of First Aiders and Fire Marshals to site personnel is delivered and maintained

• Working alongside the site operations team to embed Pre-shift and Post-shift checks of machinery and equipment to ensure that the condition and function of the site equipment is managed and maintained

Skills for Success

The successful candidate will have a proven background in Health and Safety, perhaps within a retail, production or warehouse environment. We are really open to the industry that you come from, we are looking for the right transferable skills and a passion for your work

• Experience in embedding a strong employee led safety culture and safety management systems, focussed on associates and customers

• Experience in managing relationships for both internal and external teams

• The ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats across all levels of the H&S function and can present information and proposals in a professional, structured and persuasive way, eliminating ambiguity

• Knowledge of Health & Safety, and Fire Protection legislation for the Czech Republic

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

• Great English communication skills – level B2 or higher ideally
