Content Producer

We're looking for a Content Producer who is first and foremost an exceptional writer - someone with real editorial judgment and craft - who has embraced AI as a powerful production tool. You'll generate high-volume, high-quality written content across formats: SEO-driven articles, personalized onboarding sequences, campaign assets, and more. Even though you'll be producing content with AI, all of it will meet Make's quality standards because your editorial eye ensures it does.
The AI and automation space is moving fast, and so are we. We need someone who can move at that speed: experimenting with new AI approaches, building scalable content systems, and constantly refining what's possible. You should be as comfortable in a good old-fashioned brainstorm to fix a headline as you are designing an automated content pipeline that produces thousands of variations.
This role reports to our Senior Content Manager within the Brand team. You'll work closely with creative, web, SEO, and product teams to ensure Make's content is accurate, engaging, and produced at the volume our business demands.
What you'll do:- Produce content at scale using AI: Generate high-quality written content across formats (blog posts, product copy, email sequences, social, tutorials, case studies, campaign assets) using AI as your primary production tool.
- Architect AI content systems: Design and implement AI-first workflows and automation using Make, LLMs and other tools to produce consistent, on-brand content that requires minimal human oversight.
- Uphold impeccable editorial standards: Ensure all AI-generated content - whether human-reviewed or not - meets Make's quality bar, is factually accurate about our product, and resonates with our audience.
- Master and share prompting best practices: Bring expert-level prompt engineering skills and build prompt libraries and frameworks that help scale quality content production across the team.
- Proof and refine AI output: Drive continuous improvement, reviewing AI-generated content with a sharp editorial eye, catching errors, improving clarity, and ensuring accuracy - particularly when content discusses Make's product or capabilities.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Keep up with AI content technology and emerging best practices, experimenting with new approaches and sharing learnings with the team.
- Personalize at scale: Help develop content strategies that let us personalize how different audiences discover value in Make - content we could never produce through traditional writing alone.
- Editorial foundation: Journalism, editorial, or content marketing background with demonstrated ability to write compelling, clear copy that turns complex ideas into accessible stories - with an eagle eye for detail.
- AI-native production: Deep hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to produce content at volume. You should be able to show examples of how you've scaled content production through AI.
- Expert prompting skills: You understand how to structure prompts for consistency, quality, and specific outcomes, and can consistently extract publication-ready content from AI tools.
- Make or automation expertise: Strong knowledge of Make or similar automation/no-code platforms. You should be comfortable building scenarios to automate parts of your workflow.
- Technical product fluency: Ability to understand and write accurately about complex software products. You should be able to proof AI-generated content and spot when it's wrong about technical details.
- Systems thinker: You approach writing with an engineering mindset - thinking about processes, quality controls, and scalability, not just individual pieces.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: The technology is moving fast, expectations will evolve, and you'll need to evolve with it. You're excited by that, not intimidated.
- Scrappy and self-directed: You can work independently, anticipate problems, and solve them without constant guidance.
- High quality bar: You have high standards for written content and can maintain those standards even when producing at volume through AI.
- 2-4 years in editorial, journalism, or B2B content marketing roles
- Demonstrated experience producing content using AI tools at scale
- Hands-on experience building with Make or similar automation platforms
- Portfolio showing range of content formats and editorial judgment
