Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data/Analytics Engineer who wants to help both Silicon Valley startups and enterprise clients build the next generation of innovative data-driven products. How You Fit In

You'll be joining our Data Science team, working on projects that typically last 3–6 months and often involve design, development, QA, and product management. You can generally expect to focus on one project at a time and be involved from start to finish.

International Community

A few things to know: STRV people represent about 26 nationalities, so our official language is English. For people that decide to relocate to the Czech Republic, we're always happy to provide visa sponsorships and relocation support. And as for meeting our US clients, there may be times you'll get to visit them — or you may see them strolling through our Prague office since they're often curious to see the STRV in action and to meet their team in person.

At STRV, Your Role Will Be To

• Help define and consult on data products for various companies while understanding their business requirements
• Design, build, launch, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines to move and transform data — both large and small — across multiple platforms
• Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team including business, data science, engineering, design, testing, and product management
• Continue growing your impact by developing individually and mentoring peers, both internally and externally

We Expect You To Have

• Ownership of Full or Partial Data Stack:

• Strong experience with at least one SQL database such as Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, or a similar technology

• Strong experience with schema design and data modeling
• Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics tools
• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines
• A problem-solving mindset: You're an analyst who loves tackling business challenges through data.
• A self-starter attitude: You are passionate about exploring new technologies and confident in sharing your knowledge with others
• Top-notch communication skills: You'll be in direct contact with our US-based clients, so confidence and fluency in English are essential.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience programming across multiple languages, including but not limited to Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and others
• Practical knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
• Experience querying large-scale datasets using tools like Apache Spark
• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical or analytical field
