𖤍 Oddin's Call
Oddin is looking for an experienced Platform Lead to take ownership of our core platform and guide its long-term technical direction. You will be responsible for ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across our systems. Your role includes driving architectural decisions, improving platform tooling, enabling developer productivity, and introducing modern technologies where beneficial.

What You'll Work On
 Own the Platform (reporting to the CTO) Take full end-to-end accountability for Platform Engineering — strategy, outcomes, and execution. Define clear SLAs/SLOs for Product Engineering and drive aligned cross-team cadences.
 Stand Up & Scale the Organization Build out Platform Ops, SRE, and Platform-as-a-Product streams. Scale the function from 2 → ~10, supported by a transparent, shared intake and prioritization process.
 Operate Today, Improve Tomorrow Run and harden the current cloud/runtime stack. Automate infra, improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency, and establish safe rollout/rollback patterns — in close partnership with service owners.
 Champion Developer Experience Deliver best-in-class golden paths, including: Service templates
• Internal tooling & CLIs
• Self-service workflows/portal
• Documentation & runbooks
• Environment parity
• Promotion flows
• Progressive delivery
• Friction reduction across environments.
 Lead the Next-Gen Platform Strategy Own the vision and roadmap for Platform 2.0. Evaluate strategic choices (invest in current stack vs. adopt new runtime/orchestrator), coordinate cross-functional architectural decisions, and land paved roads engineers actually embrace.
 Observability & Incident Excellence Strengthen end-to-end observability and incident management: Actionable dashboards
• Clear & meaningful alerts
• Solid runbooks
• Quality post-mortems
• Healthy on-call practices. Validate tooling choices collaboratively with engineering teams.
 FinOps, Security & IT Collaboration Define cost guardrails and unit economics. Partner on identity/permissions, secrets management, and supply-chain security. Work closely with IT Support and explore thoughtful integration into the Platform function.

Skills You'll Need
 People Leadership Proven experience leading senior ICs, defining goals, coaching, running performance cycles, and growing a ~10+ person team while continually raising the bar.
 Operational Cadence Confident running planning cycles, reviews, retrospectives, joint intake with Product Engineering, and facilitating offsites to align strategic and execution priorities.
 Written & Executive Communication Skilled at writing crisp 1-pagers, decision memos, and RFCs. Able to articulate trade-offs and drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
 Strategic Judgment Set a compelling platform vision. Make pragmatic build-vs-buy and runtime choices (invest in the existing stack or adopt new approaches) with clear success criteria and adoption strategies.
 Execution Management Deliver predictably. Manage risks, dependencies, SLAs/OLAs, and establish visible metrics for reliability, cost, and developer experience.
 Cloud & Runtime Fundamentals Depth in at least one major cloud provider. Strong grasp of containerization/orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), networking, scaling patterns, and security boundaries.
 Infra as Code & Governance Proficiency with IaC frameworks and policy/guardrail models. Experience building Git-driven workflows and creating consistent, repeatable environments.
 Delivery & Reliability Practices Expertise in CI/CD design, progressive delivery (blue/green, canary), automated rollback. Comfortable with incident command, alert design, and maturing SLO/error-budget practices with product teams.
 FinOps & Security Awareness Understanding of cloud cost levers (rightsizing, commitments, autoscaling) and secure-by-default approaches (least privilege, secrets hygiene, supply-chain integrity).
 Cross-Functional Influence Track record of co-designing with Product Engineering, Security/IT, and Finance to turn platform strategy into adoption and measurable outcomes.
