Maintenance Engineer

FORTNA, a leader in intelligent and automated logistics solutions, is expanding its operations to the Czech Republic. As part of a record-breaking project in collaboration with the H&M brand, we are looking to strengthen our team in Cheb with a key position:

Maintenance Engineer

Join a modern and technologically advanced distribution center where you will be responsible for the maintenance strategy and long-term reliability of automated material handling systems (MHE).

What you can expect with us:

• Development and continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Planning the life cycle of equipment and creating long-term maintenance plans.
• Managing technical documentation, work instructions, and maintenance procedures.
• Conducting HAZOP and FMECA analyses to minimize risks and ensure operational safety.
• Improving sustainability and implementing system enhancements.
• Monitoring equipment condition and optimizing maintenance planning.
• Managing warranties – including communication with suppliers, tracking deadlines, and handling claims.
• Proactively addressing system alerts, recalls, and industry warnings.

What we expect from you:

• University degree in a technical field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Knowledge of HAZOP, FMECA methodologies, and working with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with technical documentation, maintenance regulations, and standards.
• English language skills at least at the B2 level.
• Strong analytical thinking and project management skills.
• Good communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Experience in warranty management and sustainability is an advantage.
