We are seeking a results-driven Account Executive to join our expanding Public Sector sales team, focusing specifically on German federal agencies (Bundesbehörden). This role is ideal for someone who understands the complexities of selling to government institutions and has experience navigating public procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive new business sales and manage existing relationships within German federal institutions.

  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities with Bundesbehörden across relevant ministries and agencies.

  • Develop strategic account plans to expand presence in key government sectors.

  • Manage full sales cycles, including RFP/RFI processes, public tenders, and contract negotiations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including pre-sales, legal, marketing, and customer success.

  • Represent the company at relevant public sector events, trade shows, and industry roundtables.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools.

Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years' experience in B2B sales, ideally within public sector / government sales.

  • Proven track record of selling to or working with German federal agencies (Bundesbehörden).

  • Familiarity with public procurement laws and frameworks in Germany (e.g., VgV, UVgO, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of sales cycles in regulated or complex environments.

  • Native-level German and professional English required.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and capable of managing long sales cycles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in IT, SaaS, cybersecurity, or digital transformation solutions.

  • Existing network within the German federal government landscape.

  • Understanding of EU/international compliance and data security standards.
