Job Description

Key responsibilities include: • Working in compliance with legislation and internal procedures • Lead EHS legislation compliance, including: • Identifying new/changed requirements and driving their fulfillment • Completing safety and environmental reporting for authorities • Handling needed EHS permits with authorities • Ensuring ISO 14001 compliance • Collaborating with other subject matter authorities to lead compliance in different areas • Providing responses on EHS issues and actions to requests from authorities, customers, employees • Conducting root cause analysis, implementation, and validation of corrective actions • Conducting internal audits, resolving, completing, and validating corrective actions • Ensuring determination of EHS objectives and coordinating their implementation • Monitoring, reporting, and reviewing EHS performance (metrics, objectives) • Checking functionality and efficiency of EHS processes (including via Gemba, audits, inspections) • Coordinating tasks in the area of risk prevention (identification of hazards and evaluation of risks) • Providing professional assistance to managers with regard to OHS issues at their respective workplaces • Assisting managers, process owners in case of new, specific EHS requirements/needs • Requiring resolution of nonconformities directly from the relevant managers • Proposing and drawing up rules, instructions at workplaces, coordinating implementation, and checking compliance • Preparing and performing the comprehensive annual OHS review/inspection • Training and mentoring various teams • Working with management on continuous improvement of EHS program • Building, maintaining, and improving documentation such as EHS procedures, instructions, plans, etc. • Supporting ISO and other certification activities • Leading projects using effective project management skills • Performing other tasks assigned by direct manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in EHS fields and experience (min. 3 years); or combination of experience, education, and training that demonstrates the required skills • Health and safety certification (Czech national certification: OZO in BOZP) • Shown results in improving EHS processes • Shown ability to lead projects from inception to completion • Understanding of ISO 14001 • Capable of providing analysis of data that may involve multiple factors and cross-functional areas • PC skills (MS Office applications) • Proactive, overall positive personality, able to take on various situations in technical and social areas • Must demonstrate effective communication and be able to work efficiently with cross-functional teams on projects including international and multicultural teams and suppliers and customers • Must demonstrate proficient English - both in speech and writing • Must maintain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally if needed and be ready to adjust working time to accommodate communication needs with other regions. Must be willing to travel up to 10% • Willing to work in a clean room environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internal auditor ISO 14001 • Experience with health and safety standards (e.g. ISO 45001) • Knowledge of MS Access and/or MS Excel
