Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting and Financial Director to lead and manage our accounting department. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, overseeing general ledger management, and participating in the ongoing transformation of our Finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Finance Transformation: Participate in the ongoing transformation of our Finance department, scaling up to meet the needs of our strategic plan.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Financial Audits: Coordinate and participate in financial audits, both internal and external.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Accounting Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning and identify financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Financial Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial management software and systems.
  • Strategic Projects: Lead or participate in strategic financial projects to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting management, with at least 3 years of experience leading teams.
  • Financial Proficiency: Excellent financial and accounting proficiency, with knowledge of CZ accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and maintain engagement on a long-term journey.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with a diverse team.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Czech/Slovak and English (B2+).
  • Additional Skills: Experience with change management or transformation projects, experience from a complex environment or a big sales, e-commerce, SSC, or BIG4 company is appreciated.
