Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Specialist with strong expertise in Snowflake to support a short-term data engineering initiative. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, able to quickly adapt to new contexts, and comfortable working in an agile, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to load and transform data from source systems into Snowflake using dbt Cloud.
  • Create and maintain data structures within Snowflake to support business reporting and analytics.
  • Prepare and maintain ETL/ELT documentation in Confluence to ensure knowledge sharing and transparency.
  • Estimate and deliver work items assigned via the ticketing system within agreed timelines.
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and work closely with the Product Owner and project team.
  • Provide guidance on code implementation, support knowledge transfer to project teams and business users, and ensure alignment with architectural guidelines.
  • Implement ETL solutions based on architectural specifications and integrate diverse data sources into the Snowflake environment.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong expertise in Snowflake and dbt Cloud.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Experience in data warehouse modeling and ETL/ELT development.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
