Chief Information Security Governance Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Compliance Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring the security excellence of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of information security disciplines and frameworks, including ISO 27001 and NIST CSF. They will possess strong communication skills and be able to create and interpret technical documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive governance framework for information security assessments;
- Monitoring, optimizing, and improving assessment processes in line with evolving standards;
- Collaborating with cybersecurity architects and compliance teams to integrate regulatory and architectural requirements into security assessments;
- Supporting businesses with regulatory compliance and addressing non-conformance issues;
- Documenting and standardizing security assessment processes for transparency and efficiency;
- Acting as the primary liaison for audits related to security assessments, including preparation and follow-up activities;
- Managing audit readiness and facilitating communication between stakeholders and auditors;
- Identifying and implementing best practices for security assessments while gathering and incorporating feedback from development and engineering teams.
Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in information security, governance, risk management, compliance, or audit roles.
The successful candidate will have exposure to multiple IT or security domains, such as network security, identity management, cloud security, or software development, and hands-on experience in IT or security domains is desirable.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP are also beneficial, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making processes is essential.
