Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting to join our Finance team at Notino. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will also act as a Deputy Financial Director, overseeing general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage accounting department functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Participate in the ongoing transformation of our Finance department, scaling up to meet the needs of our strategic plan - turnover growth, further foreign expansion, automation, system upgrade.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Coordinate and participate in financial audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Participate in strategic planning and identify financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial management software and systems.
  • Lead or participate in strategic financial projects to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting management, with at least 3 years of experience leading teams.
  • Excellent financial and accounting proficiency, with knowledge of CZ accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and maintain engagement on a long-term journey.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with a diverse team.
  • You need to be fluent in Czech/Slovak and you should be able to fluently communicate in English (B2+).
  • A big plus is experience with change management or transformation projects.
  • Experience from a complex environment or a big sales, e-commerce, SSC, or BIG4 company is appreciated.
  • Resilience and a 'can-do' attitude are essential.
