Software Engineering Technical Lead

What you need to have to succeed in this role 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including leading technical delivery teams. Strong hands-on expertise in modern Java (backend), with RESTful APIs, microservices, HTTPS, and messaging systems (e.g., MQ). Proven track record in delivering scalable, high-performance, and highly available backend systems using relational databases. Experience in FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities) or related financial domains is a strong advantage. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and team development. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate across global teams. Demonstrates critical thinking, sound decision-making, and resilience under pressure. Self-motivated, curious, and passionate about technology, with a proactive and collaborative working style. Nice to have: Experience in high-volume data processing and compute, ETL pipelines and distributed compute systems. Domain knowledge in banking - trade life-cycle and post trade processing for financial investment products, especially FICC. Experience in no-SQL or Columnar DB.
