We are seeking a proven leader to oversee and manage the growing engineering team for our Threat Intelligence in Prague. This position is critical as the TI platform is key to Rapid7's evolving security strategy. If you are someone who loves all things technical, know that this role requires a passionate technologist who will bring hands-on leadership and day-to-day structure to the engineering organization, as well as an understanding of how the product meets the needs of the customer. About the role
As a Cyber Intelligence Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations. First and foremost, you will coach and grow the individuals on your team so they feel supported and engaged.
You will also be responsible for keeping track of the projects the teams are working on, facilitating cross-team discussions when necessary and deciding on the future direction of the team (what projects they will focus on next). You will collaborate with engineering, Product and other development teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers. Specifically, your focus will be to:
- Leading a large group of cyber intelligence analysts (between 4-6) who work on collecting and analyzing intelligence related to the company's customers
- Working with internal stakeholders like: CSM, Pre-Sales and Sales and influence/build consensus across a matrixed team.
- Leading cross functional initiatives together with engineering and product
- Proactively monitor and drive improve the team deliverables to our customers
- Produce intelligence outputs to provide an accurate description of the current threat landscape and associated risk
- Produce actionable intelligence information for delivery to colleagues and customers
- Leverage internal and external resources to research threats, vulnerabilities, and intelligence on various attackers and attack infrastructure
- Analyze indicators based on factual information and wider contextual information available
- Work with the team to improve and expand the toolset
- Interface with customers success and customers on an ongoing basis to consult with them on best security practices and help them mature their security posture
The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
- At least 5 years of experience as a team leader or manager
- Previous experience in working with end customers
- Customer-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with threat hunting or other cyber capabilities
- Self-starter, multitasking, independent, responsible.
- Good interpersonal communication with other team players.
- Ability to learn fast.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and explain them to others
- A customer centric approach with the ability to drive that throughout your teams, understanding the customers needs and drivers and putting the customer at the forefront of all decision making
- Strong cross-functional skills, with the ability and desire to build relationships with other teams including Product Management, UX and engineering teams to achieve broader company objectives
- Experience with managing multiple, high-impact project
- Capable of managing through high-intensity situations when they arise
