DevOps Engineer for Embedded SW Development support

Siemens Foundational Technologies Development R&D Center is focused on development of key products of Siemens, including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We would like to invite you to cooperate on the development of industrial automation products. We focus on complete product development and integration across the entire automation system. Currently we are searching for DevOps Engineers or Software Developers who would like to choose the DevOps path.

Currently we are searching for a DevOps Engineer with embedded software development background who can effectively connect traditional embedded systems development with modern DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Your task will be:

• Implementing build systems and compilation workflows using CMake for cross-platform embedded targets
• Defining and setting up CI/CD pipelines across multiple platforms (GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Optimizing and maintaining pipelines (e.g. via NodeJS based GitHub Actions)
• Managing and maintaining of artifacts, packages and binaries in Artifactory
• Supporting development teams with the git-based version control system
• Implementing cybersecurity measures based on vulnerability assessments
• Driving automation initiatives across development processes
• Providing consultation and support for various development and test tooling
• Working collaboratively in an agile team environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflowsdesign of test scenarios

What we will appreciate from you:

• Proficiency with CMake build systems for embedded targets
• Familiarity with cross-compilation toolchains and debugging tools
• Programming experience in C/C++ for embedded systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines creation and configuration (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Programming experience in C/C++ or C# is an advantage
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible and Terraform) is an advantage
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions, particularly creating dashboards and implementing metric collection using Prometheus is an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
