Imagine standing at the top of the Empire State Building, taking in the breathtaking view. From the online booking to the seamless entry, every part of your ticketing experience was designed and supported by Ventrata. An industry-leading SaaS platform that helps attractions, tours, and activities to create memorable experiences.
Backed by a passionate team, headquartered in London and with offices in Brno, Lisbon, and remote teams worldwide, we're expanding rapidly across multiple markets and verticals. Our mission is to help businesses of all sizes scale and grow while preserving their unique identity and spirit.
Be a part of something extraordinary, where your ideas and contributions truly matter. Let's shape the future of travel together.
About the Role
Ventrata is looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing Product team. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between Product Management and Engineering — ensuring that requirements are clear, consistent, and testable, so development teams can build confidently while Product Managers focus on strategy, prioritization, and client value.
You'll play a critical part in how we deliver features, mapping out processes, data flows, and edge cases to make sure every release is as seamless as the experiences we help our clients create.
Key Information
Preferred location: Remote (EU only). This is a remote position; however, we expect you to meet with the team in Brno from time to time. Therefore, our preferred location is the Czech Republic.
Duration: Full time
Reports to: Head of Product
Works closely with: Product Managers, QA Engineers, Development Leads
Role boundaries:
- PM leads the why and what, BA ensures the how is clear and feasible — working together throughout discovery and delivery.
- QA: validates done, test coverage
You'll free up PMs from going too deep into process and data details, enabling them to stay focused on strategy, discovery, and prioritization — while you ensure our teams build the right thing, the right way.
What You'll Be Doing
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Work with Product Managers to understand what problem we're solving and why it matters.
- Define how it works — exploring business logic, data dependencies, and edge cases.
- Example: when a PM says "we need Gift Aid support for compliance," you define flows, error handling, data mapping, and API impacts.
Documentation & Specifications
- Maintain and refine business rules, requirements, and specifications in agreed templates.
- Ensure user stories are refinement-ready with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Create detailed process flows, diagrams, and edge-case documentation.
Process & Data Analysis
- Map and optimize end-to-end business processes (e.g., checkout → upsell → payment).
- Perform impact analysis for API and data model changes across our platform.
- Provide structured, actionable insights that guide PM and Engineering decisions.
Support QA
- Ensure acceptance criteria are unambiguous and fully testable.
- Support QA with clarification of requirements and expected system behavior.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as the translator between Product, QA, and Engineering.
- Support escalations with documentation, requirement coverage, and process analysis.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst (5+ years in the role), ideally in a SaaS or tech product company.
- Strong skills in requirements documentation, process mapping, and data analysis.
- Comfortable using tools like Linear, Figma, Outline, Postman, ecc..
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, APIs, and system integrations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate complexity into clarity.
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills in English (B2+).
- A passion for building scalable, elegant solutions that work in the real world.
What can we offer?
- We are fairly informal about working hours. We want to make sure you like your job and wanna go an extra mile for us.
- Unlimited paid holiday days.
- Start-up working environment.
- WFH or work remotely.
- Team buildings and company remote office. Sounds boring? The whole team met in Spain, South Africa, Italy, Portugal, and France. We also enjoy a spontaneous beer after work or any sports activity.
- Office in Brno and Lisbon. We have two office locations: the core team is located in Brno and we have one newly opened office in Lisbon. How does working for a month from Lisbon sound? :)
- Young and passionate team.
- Refreshments and delicious coffee in the office area.
- Hardware/ remote setup package.
- Competitive salary and regular salary revaluation.
- Bonuses based on company performance.
