Your day at NTT DATA

As an L1 Network Support Engineer at NTT DATA, you'll be the first line of support for our clients' IT infrastructure. Your role will focus on monitoring systems, logging incidents, and performing initial diagnostics. You'll work closely with L2 and L3 engineers to escalate and resolve issues, gaining exposure to a wide range of enterprise technologies and building a strong foundation for your technical career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and security systems, identify alerts, and log incidents accurately.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnostics for technical issues.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex incidents to L2/L3 teams with detailed documentation.
  • Assist in executing routine tasks and changes under supervision.
  • Participate in shift handovers and maintain ticket hygiene.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure SLA compliance and service continuity.
  • Update knowledge base articles and contribute to process documentation.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

  • Fluent in English, with strong communication and listening skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Basic understanding of networking and security technologies, including:
    • Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5
    • NetApp (basic storage concepts)
    • SD-WAN
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and monitoring tools (e.g., LogicMonitor, SecureCRT).
  • A degree in IT/Computing or equivalent experience.
  • Entry-level certifications such as CCNA, PCNSA, or Fortinet NSE 1–3 are a plus.
