NGV IT Business Partner

As the IT Business Partner for NGV (New Growth Vectors), you will report to the Head of IT Engineering & Dev Excellence. This role involves partnering with New Growth Vector domains (Electrification Center of Excellence ECOE and related product lines) to establish robust product development and validation processes and systems, including ASPICE2 validation. You will own the IT landscape, resources, and costs for NGV, and collaborate with broader IT teams (security, infrastructure, software development, enterprise architecture, and data excellence) to optimize costs and reduce complexity. The role also includes responsibility for site-level IT activities and certifications (e.g., TISAX).
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver cost effective and efficient systems solutions for addressing business challenges, in alignment with Garrett IT strategy
- Tackle complex business issues and offer innovative solutions, utilizing domain expertise and business intelligence to facilitate high quality decision making.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and establish partnership, effectively communicating progress, decision making processes, and prioritization.
(frequent business impact related communication in case of service disruptions) - Create business communications, share IT risk and contingency plans with ECOE & NGV business stakeholders
- Develop clear business communications, present IT risk assessments and contingency plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Promote knowledge sharing by exchanging lessons learned and best practices across programs, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and facilitating connections at all organizational levels.
- Partner with process champions & Enterprise Architecture , to build NPI 2.0 landscape with processes beneath it, including ASPICE2
- Influence stakeholders and collaborate with System Engineering teams for product development using MBSE methods and tools
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders and IT, promoting a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives by leveraging industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities of the IT team and support the strategic growth of NGV business
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to support the ECOE/NGV business
- Continuously manage the performance of direct reports and teams to ensure optimal results. Drive High Performance culture within IT and with business stakeholders
- Actively coordinate all phases of project from concept, project planning, development, execution, monitoring to project closure
- Drive the system changes on ALM and system engineering, including productivity initiatives aligned with Demand Management
- Drive change management and be key in implementing change in the organization
- Manage all tools and systems used by ECOE/NGV, including capacity planning, DLP, hosting etc.
- Active management and mitigation of technology related risks to ECOE/NGV (e.g. Data Loss Prevention, Business continuity), track security and compliance related KPIs and metrics, and assist with reporting on those metrics to stakeholders
- Measure adoption of standard development practices using KPI's for software development, manage tools stack with optimization, reduced technical debt and overachieve on AOP targets
- Collaborate with extended IT teams (DevExcellence, Data Excellence) to lay foundations for V-model product development, including collaboration with Simulation Automation team
Build and structure lessons learned with global KM initiatives for ECOE/NGV into relevant systems
Your profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 10–12 years experience in SDLC, project management, and execution.
- 5–7 years with large engineering enterprise systems.
- Experience with cloud-based systems (e.g. AWS).
- Strong business partnership and stakeholder influence skills.
