Senior Web Developer

IDC Design is seeking a highly skilled WordPress VIP Developer with a strong back-end focus to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing WordPress VIP components with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability. A strong understanding of the WordPress VIP platform and its coding standards is essential. This role will collaborate closely with designers, front-end developers, and digital strategists to ensure efficient, consistent development across the VIP environment.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize back-end components within IDC's WordPress VIP platform.
• Lead the implementation of modular, reusable VIP-compatible components using IDC's design system to support consistency and delivery at scale.
• Ensure all code complies with WordPress VIP coding standards, security, and accessibility best practices.
• Work with stakeholders in marketing and across IDC to translate technical requirements into high-quality solutions
• Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, product managers, and digital strategists to deliver seamless digital experiences that drive engagement throughout the customer journey.
• Manage code deployment workflows, environments, and CI/CD processes in the VIP ecosystem. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across multiple environments and optimize database queries and WordPress-specific operations for speed and scalability.
• Proactively participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making. Engage with IT teams and third-party agencies to support timely project delivery and cohesive development roadmaps.

• Proven experience developing for the WordPress VIP platform.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with Git, Composer, WP-CLI, and CI/CD tools. Experience working with GTM and GA4
• Deep understanding of WordPress core, plugin architecture, and theme development, along with WP performance optimization and caching strategies
• Experience working with design systems and implementing component-driven development. Figma is a plus.
• Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. Collaborative and proactive mindset
• Ability to interpret complex technical concepts and communicate them at an appropriate level for stakeholders of differing technical acumen to achieve alignment that supports business goals.
