OVERVIEW:
You will work as an integral part of our GlobalView Business Excellence team to author and edit content adhering to ADP's authoring standards while also being an advocate for the client and associate experience. In this role you will meet the information needs of our clients and associates by producing accurate, concise, and usable content, including business processes, how to articles, troubleshooting guides, overviews, online help, and others. You will utilize authoring tools, a component content management system, and work closely with business partners, content developers, IT partners, UX teams, project teams, training teams, and others to ensure high-quality deliverables.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create/edit/manage content for GlobalView.
- Use knowledge management key metrics to drive improvements in content presentation to associates.
- Assess and align business content to enterprise content model.
- Conduct detailed analysis of user content needs, develop requirements, and estimates for deliverables, partnering with product owners and other stakeholders in the process.
- Apply enterprise content strategy and principles to develop concise, consistent, high value content deliverables.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts to obtain information and content validation.
- Develop content deliverables in the enterprise content management application.
- Report progress of content deliverables to stakeholders and adhere to timelines.
- Demonstrates domain, tool, and authoring expertise and can provide informal mentoring to colleagues.
- Demonstrate authoring expertise and provide informal mentoring to colleagues when need arises.
- Collaborate with content owners to validate knowledge and foster content reuse.
- Act as an expert regarding authoring technology and content development.
- Perform other content related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding of knowledge/content management best practices and content lifecycle management
- Understanding of knowledge management systems, search engine optimization (SEO) and taxonomy
- Strong knowledge in structured based authoring and information typing
- Experience in knowledge management/content development/technical writing
- Familiarity with one or more of the industry standard style guides (The Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press Stylebook, The Elements of Style)
- Ability to manage content deliverable schedules
- Knowledge of DITA, XML, component content management systems a plus
- Strong communication & collaboration skills
- Strong writing skills (must provide examples)
- Self-starter and ability to multi-task
