A day in the life...
- Perform daily accounting activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes with journal entries and perform reconciliations
- Handle cash management and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with balance sheet account analysis including fixed assets, prepaids, and debt classifications
- Support payroll accounting and related general ledger activities
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounting records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and US GAAP standards while working closely with the US team
Support audit preparation by providing accurate documentation and reports for internal and external auditors
Provide support on various ad-hoc projects and financial tasks as business needs arise
- Support statutory reporting requirements and regulatory compliance
What we are looking for...
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- 1-3 years of general accounting experience - public accounting firm background is a plus
- Solid understanding Czech Accounting Standards and US GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Experience with accounting software
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic accounting environment
